    Mini Project Number 2

    Mini Project Number 1

    Greenpeace

"In the end, protecting the environment is about very clear choices. We can either stand up for what is right- our health, humanity, and heritage on this planet of ours- or we can sit by and watch while decisions are made that threaten to destroy our collective future." -John Passacantando-Executive Director-Greenpeace USA

I like this quote. We are definitely responsible for what happens to our planet; therefore we ought to take action to save our planet. Each person is responsible and should not wait for someone else to take action. If each person does their part, we can save the planet. Greenpeace does not depend on the government and does not endorse political candidates. I find that excellent.

    National Resources Defense Council

Their mission is to safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals and the natural systems on which all life depends.

Even though their statement is quite motivating, I was not very attracted by their website.

    Wild Spots Foundation

Wild Spots Foundation saves habitats of endangered species. Wild Spots Foundation is uniquely dedicated to saving valuable habitats around the world through a variety of programs that promote, defend, and protect biodiversity* through education, visual arts, ecotourism, science and technology. Specifically, the doctrine of the Foundation is to serve conservation beyond utilitarian reasons by incorporating a sense of stewardship and ownership, which protect the world's valuable wild spots (ecosystems and associated biodiversity) in return for the physical, aesthetic and spiritual sustenance it offers for generations to come.

    My Opinion

Each organization contributes in their way. But my favorites are Greenpeace and the Wild Spots Foundation. Greenpeace has a history, it has been around since 1971 and has creative ways of getting people involved and are motivated help the planet. They have a strong belief in what they stand for and will protect the environment by any means. However, the wild spot foundation focuses on finding habitats for animals which is very important since we have a lot of endangered species in the world.
